Potatoes, onions, carrots and sugar beet: the farmers of East Anglia produce the crops that keep British families fed. But the components of agricultural machines occasionally wear out. When they do, Pegasus Profiles Ltd in Thetford, Norfolk, is there to help the farmers.
Pegasus has worked with Hardox for many years, but is now a member of the Hardox Wearparts network.
“We get enquiries from at least two or three new customers every day. The number of new customers and leads is a great progression for us,” says director Roy Denyer.
“We’re learning more about Hardox, how to process it and increase its value. For example, three of our employees visited SSAB in Oxel?sund, Sweden in March to take part in a technical training course,” Denyer adds.
Working with the full range of Hardox products also gives Pegasus a chance to adapt their components to specific customer conditions and environments.
“A customer may want a thicker or a thinner component, a lighter or a heavier one, depending on the soil quality they have on their farm. With Hardox we can offer our customers harder components with an extended life, thus reducing machinery down time,” says Denyer.
