After a construction period of around two years, Jiangsu Tianhuai Steel Pipe from Jiangsu Province (Eastern China) recently commissioned the new 20” PQF? tube rolling plant supplied by SMS Meer for seamless quality steel tubes and rolled the first tube.
The new PQF? plant is the biggest continuous rolling plant in the world and can produce seamless tubes with diameters up to 508 mm.
The plant has a production capacity of 500,000 t/year.
Tianhuai
is a joint venture between the state-owned Tianjin Pipe Group
Corporation (TPCO) and Huaigang Special Steel, a subsidiary of the
Eastern Chinese Shagang Group.
