OMZ Special Steels, part of OMZ Group, has successfully passed
certification of forging for shipbuilding and machine building,
organized by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) classification society. According
to the results of certification company was granted approval certificate
for production of forgings made of carbon and carbon-manganese steels
for shipbuilding and engineering according to the Rules of Germanischer
Lloyd classification society.
Germanischer Lloyd (founded in
Germany in 1867) is the well-known and reputable classification society,
member of the International Association of Classification Societies
(IACS), and proclaims the highest quality standards in shipbuilding
industry, develops rules and standards for manufacturing and technical
strength.
Germanischer Lloyd’s examination of manufacturing of
forgings for shipbuilding and engineering is another confirmation of
high quality and full compliance with all requirements of OMZ Special
Steels products and promotes competitiveness and further strengthening
of its position on the domestic and foreign markets.
