NLMK has successfully passed another audit
conducted by TüV SüD, the German certifying agency, for compliance with
the requirements of international standard ISO/TS 16949:2009, Quality
Management Systems – Particular requirements for the application of ISO
9001:2008 for automotive production and relevant service part
organisations.
In the course of the audit, TüV SüD verified the Company’s operating
processes and working documentation confirming quality control at all
production stages. The auditors gave a positive evaluation of the
Company’s Quality Management System (QMS), and confirmed the compliance
of its QMS processes with international requirements applied to the
production of flats for automotive industry.

Compliance with ISO/TS 16949:2009 requirements enables the manufacturer to supply to the global automotive industry.
The first certification audit was performed in 2004, confirming total
compliance of all NLMK’s QMS processes with the international standard
ISO/TS 16949.
The certificate currently covers the production of slabs, hot-rolled and
cold-rolled flats of carbon and low-alloy steel in coils and sheets,
including galvanised products for the automotive industry (with the
development of new products).
