Apr. 6, 2012 - ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG awarded SMS Siemag the contract
to supply a new converter vessel for its works in Duisburg-Bruckhausen,
Germany.
The scope of supply comprises the vessel, the trunnion ring, vessel
suspension with the lamella system, as well as the trunnion bearings
and bearing supports.
For the installation of the plant components, SMS Siemag will
dismantle the existing converter platform and replace it by a new one.
The solution developed by SMS Siemag makes it possible to retain
and continue to use the existing converter drive.
