Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand conduct tube hydroforming process for automotive exhaust component production
Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand, in cooperation with Metal and Materials Technology center of Thailand (MTEC) and The Sirindhorn International Thai-Germen Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS), King Mongkut's Institute of Technology North Bangkok had conducted the project to develop the Hydro forming system for stamping process of automotive parts/components that have the complex shapes. The research team had performed the mechanical testing of raw materials (steel sheet), designed the clamping devices and develops the tube hydroforming die set for manufacturing tubular automotive exhaust component.
