Turkey imposes AD duties on HRC from EU, South Korea

Turkey’s Ministry of Trade has determined that the EU and South Korea’s hot-rolled coil (HRC) producers/ exporters sold their products into the Turkish market at prices below the normal value during the period of review of one year ended September 30, 2020.

The weighted-average dumping margin for ArcelorMittal was set at 39.83%, that for Tata Steel Europe was at 30.64%, that for Liberty Steel and ThyssenKrupp was 23.30%, and that for all other EU HRC producers/ exporters was assigned at 49.84%.

For South Korea, POSCO received 14.62%, Hyundai Steel was assigned a dumping margin of 14.08%, and other South Korean producers/ exporters are subject to a rate of 18.59%.

This investigation was launched last January, following a request submitted by the Turkish Steel Producers' Association (TCUD).

The products involved are under HS codes 7208.10.00, 7208.25.00, 7208.26.00, 7208.27.00, 7208.36.00, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.00, 7208.39.00, 7208.40.00, 7208.52.10, 7208.52.99, 7208.53.10, 7208.53.90, 7208.54.00, 7211.13.00, 7211.14.00, 7211.19.00, 7212.60.00, 7225.19.10, 7225.30.10, 7225.30.30, 7225.30.90, 7225.40.15, 7225.40.90, 7226.91.20, 7226.91.91, and 7226.91.99.
