According to an announcement published on India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) website on January 6, 2022, the Tax Research Unit of the Ministry of Finance has decided not to accept DGTR's recommendations made on September 14, 2021 to impose definitive anti-dumping (AD) duties on imports of hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel originating in or exported from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil, and Indonesia.
The products involved are classified under HS codes 7208, 7211, 7225, and 7226. Hot-rolled flat products of stainless steel, hot-rolled flat products of steel which are electrolytically plated or coated with zinc, hot-rolled flat products of steel otherwise plated or coated with zinc, and cladded steel are not included in this measure.
