India makes final ruling of first AD sunset review on hot-rolled flat products from 6 countries

On September 14, 2021, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India announced its final ruling of the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on hot-rolled flat products of alloy or non-alloy steel originating in or exported from China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Brazil, and Indonesia, deciding to continue the five-year AD measure on subject goods from the above-mentioned countries with the lowest price limit.

The duty rates are in the range of US$478-561/ton, depending on different product dimensions and countries.

The products involved are classified under HS codes 7208, 7211, 7225, and 7226. The scope of this implement excludes hot-rolled flat products of stainless steel, hot-rolled flat products of steel electrolytically plated or coated with zinc, hot-rolled flat products of steel otherwise plated or coated with zinc, and cladded steel.

The initial AD investigation was launched on April 11, 2016.
