Thailand imposes new AD duties on China's HDG steel

It was reported that Thailand’s government announced to impose new anti-dumping (AD) duties on China's hot-dip galvanized (HDG) steel products, valid for five years from September 7, 2021. A 35.67% AD duty was imposed in 2020, but it was abolished this June.

The duty rate ranged from 3.05% to 37.54%, depending on different companies.
The products involved are under HS codes 7210491, 7210499, 7212301, and 7225929.

The products exempted from this AD duty imposition include HDG steel products with a thickness of 2.3 mm or more, and products for the manufacture of automotive components and white goods.
