On August 27, 2021, the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) of Malaysia made a preliminary anti-dumping (AD) ruling on stranded steel wires for prestressing concrete originating in or exported from China, deciding to impose provisional AD duties based on CIF values.

The duty rate for Silvery Dragon Prestressed Materials Co., Ltd. Tianjin was set at 4.46%, that for Tianjin Dalu Steel Strand For Prestressed Co., Ltd. was 9.41%, and other producers and exporters will be subject to a rate of 21.72%.

The products involved are classified under the HS Code and ASEAN Harmonised Tariff Nomenclature (AHTN) 7312.10.91 00.

A final determination of this case will be made within 120 days from August 29, 2021.

The initial AD investigation was launched on March 31, 2021 based on an application filed by the domestic producer Southern PC Steel Sdn. Bhd.
