Australia makes first AD sunset review final ruling on chrome-plated steel bars from Romania

On August 25, 2021, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission announced that the Minister for Industry, Science and Technology of Australia accepted the commission's final ruling recommendation of the first anti-dumping (AD) sunset review on chrome-plated steel bar imported from Romania and decided to continue to extend the validity period of the AD measures against the products involved from September 8, 2021.

On November 10, 2015, the Australian Anti-dumping Commission initiated an AD investigation on chrome-plated steel bars imported from Italy and Romania, following an application filed by Milltech Pty Ltd.

On September 7, 2016, the commission made a final AD ruling, maintaining the preliminary ruling to terminate the investigation against Italy, and made a ruling that Romania’s dumping margin was 22.4% to 66.9%.
