Pakistan's National Tariff Commission (NTC) has decided to impose provisional anti-dumping (AD) duties on cold-rolled steel coils and sheets imports from South Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, and the EU.
The provisional AD duty rate on cost and freight (C&F) price for Taiwan was set at 6.18%, the rate for the EU was at 6.5%, and South Korea and Vietnam will be subject to 13.24% and 17.25%, respectively. These duties will be valid for four months, coming into force from August 23, 2021.
The AD investigation was launched on February 25, 2021, following an application filed by local producers, International Steels Limited and Aisha Steel Mills Limited (ASML), who alleged that the subject goods from the above-mentioned countries were causing material injury to Pakistan's steel industry.
