Walsin Lihwa announces new prices for stainless steel wire rod for Aug

Walsin Lihwa, a leading stainless steel wire rod manufacturer in Taiwan, announced to raise the prices of its stainless steel wire rod products for August, which was the price increase for the fourth month.

According to price adjustment, the price of 304 was up by NT$8,000/ton, that of 400 series was increased by NT$3,000/ton, and that of 200 series was raised by NT$4,000/ton. The surcharge of 316 was hiked by NT$3,000/ton, and the welding material steel will be subject to a price increase of NT$3,000-6,000/ton, depending on different steel grades.

Walsin Lihwa said the production costs have been surging due to the current COVID-19 epidemic, the unstable international political situation, extreme weather, insufficient power supply, tight shipping availability, and so on.
