Turkish Rebar - Daily Rationale

S&P Global Platts assessed Turkish exported rebar at $725/mt FOB Turkey on July 12, up $2.50/mt on day.

One EU trader cited an indicative tradable value for 10,000 mt at $725-$730/mt FOB.

Another Turkish trader put an indicative tradable value for large tonnage to the Far East at $720/mt FOB and reported a Marmara mill deal at $730/mt FOB, which was unconfirmed.

One Iskenderun mill source noted an indicative Marmara mill target at $730/mt FOB, but no deal was heard at those levels.

One Marmara mill source put a mill offer at minimum $730/mt FOB and reported the same Marmara mill deal to Bulgaria totaling 10,000 mt at $730/mt FOB for September delivery, unconfirmed.

Another Marmara mill source put a mill offer at $760/mt FOB.

A second Iskenderun mill source put a mill offer $735-$745/mt FOB, with another Iskenderun mill offer at $735/mt FOB.
