Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade is to terminate anti-dumping tariffs on various cold rolled stainless steel originating in Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and China on 12 November following the second AD sunset review investigation last October.
Stainless steel products involved are under HS code 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10 and 7220.90.90. The levied duties ranged from 10.91% to 37.29% (see Kallanish passim).
Vietnam initially imposed these duties in 2014 and extended for another five years since October 2019, which were due to expire this October.
China, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia exported 50,892t, 6,983t, 2,556t and 1,784t involved stainless steel products in eight months through August to Vietnam, up 17.9%, 6.4%, 10.8% and 31.2% on-year respectively.
