On October 10, 2024, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) announced that it made affirmative determinations to keep the existing anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on imports of cast iron soil pipe from China after sunset reviews on this product.
It found that revoking the current AD and CVD duties on those imported products would result in the continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time.
The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) started the first sunset review of AD and CVD investigations on imported cast iron soil pipe from China on April 1, 2024, and it made a final determination of the expedited sunset reviews of AD and CVD on August 8, 2024.
