Malaysia’s Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI) has initiated an anti-dumping investigation against imports of wire rod from China, Indonesia, and Vietnam, Kallanish notes. The targeted products are classified under HS Code 7213.91.1000, 7213.91.2000, 7213.91.9000 and 7227.90.9000, according to a Federal Government Gazette notice dated 10 October. Domestic producer, Penang-based Southern Steel, is the petitioner in the trade case.
