On August 28, 2024, Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission announced that the Minister for Industry and Science had made final suggestions for the exemption of anti-dumping duty (AD) for certain hollow structural sections (HSS) imported from China, South Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan as well as the exemption of countervailing duty (CVD) from China.
It decided both anti-dumping duty and countervailing duty were not exempt for the subject products. The application of exemption goods are 350 Grade 60mm x 120mm x 10mm thick steel rectangular tubes, length of 11.9 meters. The HS codes for the subject goods are 7306.61.00.22 and 7306.61.00.25. The application was lodged by domestic company MGN Civil Pty Ltd on January 25, 2024.
