MAN Industries (India) Ltd., one of the largest producers and exporters of LSAW (longitudinally submerged arc welding) and HSAW (helical submerged arc welding) pipes in India, announced that it will build a new plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with an investment of Rs 600 crore, which will be made through debts and internal accruals.
The new manufacturing unit will include line pipe manufacturing and a coating facility to meet the growing demand in Saudi Arabia.
The company has a current capacity of 1.1 million tons, with utilization accounting for around 50%-60% of total capacity. The new plant will bring an additional capacity of 0.4 to 0.5 million tons.
The project will be completed within 12 months.
