South Korea produced approximately 6.4 million tons of hot-rolled plates and coils from January to July, decreasing by 5.2% yearly. The sales declined by 4.3% yearly to about 6.4 million tons, of which 3.92 million tons (down by 0.4% yearly) were to the domestic market and 2.44 million tons (down by 9.9% yearly) were to overseas markets.
In July, South Korea produced roughly 975,000 tons of hot-rolled flat products, increasing by 12.7% from a month ago and 0.5% yearly, reaching the highest monthly output in 2024.
