South Korea will start anti-dumping (AD) investigations on stainless steel products from China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Vietnam, according to a public hearing held by the Korea Trade Commission (KTC).
The investigations will be started based on an application from the local steel manufacturer POSCO. The investigations are to make a final decision on whether to extend the AD duty of 7.17%-25.82% on flat-rolled stainless steel products from China, Indonesia, and Taiwan.
Meanwhile, the alleged dumping rate of 37.62% on cold-rolled stainless steel from Vietnam’s three companies, Yongjin Metal Technology, TVL Joint Stock Company, and TVL Steel Production and Construction Joint Stock Company, will also be probed. KTC planned to make a preliminary decision in October.
