In the first six months, Taiwan’s hot-rolled coil (HRC) imports were about 572,000 tons, increasing from about 264,000 tons in the same period a year ago. Of which, the imports from China, South Korea and Japan totaled about 374,000 tons, 103,000 tons and 95,000 tons, respectively.
During the same period, Taiwan imported about 260,000 tons of cold-rolled coil (CRC), growing from 175,000 tons in the first half year in 2023. Among them, the import sources included China (about 193,000 tons), South Korea (about 46,000 tons) and Japan (about 20,000 tons).
