The Canada Border Services Agency's Anti-dumping Programs Directorate has made a preliminary determination of dumping involving certain hot‐rolled wire rod of carbon and alloy steel. The specs are items with circular or approximately circular cross section, in coils, equal to or less than 25.5 mm in actual solid cross‐sectional diameter.

Pursuant to section 42 of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), the Tribunal initiated the inquiry to determine whether the dumping has caused or threatens to cause injury or retardation.

Each person or government entity wishing to participate in the inquiry and at the hearing as a party must file a form with CITT on or before 21 June. On 29 July, the tribunal will issue a list of participants, with a hearing relating to this inquiry on 3 September.
