According to statistics from the Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand, in February, Thailand’s finished steel production was about 516,000 tons, decreasing by 13.9% from the same month a year ago. Among them, the output of long products was about 335,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.7%. Meanwhile, the flat products output totaled about 182,000 tons, falling by 16% year on year.
During the same month, Thailand’s consumption of finished steel reached 1.26 million tons, slightly decreasing by 7.2% compared to the corresponding period a year ago. In specific, the flat product consumption increased by 2.8% year on year to 841,000 tons.
