Ukraine extends anti-dumping duties on Chinese steel fasteners

Ukraine's Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade has extended anti-dumping duties on imports of steel fasteners from China, says the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

The commission's decision comes into force from 17 April 2024.

The duty amounts to 32.47% for Haining Hisener Trade for the export of goods produced by Hisener Industrial, Kallanish notes. 38.37% has been levied on manufacturer-exporter Ningbo Jinding Fastening Piece, and 67.4% for other manufacturers and exporters of steel fasteners form China.

The decision concerns products made of ferrous metal, with threads, namely: screws, bolts and nuts originating from China, classified according to codes 7318 15 69 90, 7318 15 81 90, 7318 19 8 16 91 90 and 7318 16 99 90, according to UKT VED.

In 2020, Ukraine originally introduced duties of 32.5-67.4%, depending on the manufacturer, on steel fasteners from China (see Kallanish passim). The anti-dumping investigation was launched in December 2019 and completed earlier than expected.

In August last year, the commission also introduced final anti-dumping measures on the import of steel wire originating from China to Ukraine. Final anti-dumping duties are applied for a period of five years at a rate of 32.6% of the customs value of the goods.
