Iran’s crude steel output to increase 46.7 percent

In January, Iran’s crude steel output has grown 46.7 percent while the global average growth rate reached 2.1 percent, according to a latest report released by the World Steel Association (WSA).

In comparison with last January’s 1.971 million tons, Iran produced 2.895 million tons of crude steel which is an increase of 46.7 percent, as the WSA data showed.

In January 2020, the world’s 64 steel producers produced 154.436 million tons of the commodities, a rise of 2.1 percent compared to last January’s 151.228 million tons, as said in WSA report.

The report added that, China, India, Japan, the U.S., and Russia were respectively the world’s top steel producers.
