Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) has begun the midterm review of anti-dumping duties on H-beams originating from China.
Kallanish understands current AD duties are set at 22.09-33.51% and the products fall under HS codes 7216.33.11, 7216.33.19, 7216.33.90, 7228.70.10 and 7228.70.90.
MOIT launched the first AD investigation on H-beam imports from mainland China and Hong Kong on 5 October 2016 and determined to implement AD duties from 5 September 2017 for five years. The ministry conducted an expiry review on 19 October 2021 and decided to continue the AD duties for another five years from 6 September 2022.
China exported 105,056 tonnes of H-beam products to Vietnam from January to September 2023, up 30.1% year-on-year.
