According to data from the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), in early December, the daily average crude steel and pig iron output from China’s main steel manufacturers decreased by 4.19% and 3.21%, respectively, compared to late November.
Meanwhile, the steel product inventories were about 14.1 million tons, increasing by 8.82% from late November but decreasing by 3.97% from early November.
Regarding iron ore, although iron ore stocks at ports and steel mills increased in early December, the overall inventories were still lower than those in the same period a year ago.
