On December 12, 2023, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced its affirmative final determination of the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation of brass rod originating in India, assigning a subsidy rate of 2.24% to Rajhans Metals Private Limited and all other Indian exporters and producers of subject products.
The US International Trade Commission (USITC) is scheduled to make its final determination in early 2024.
The products involved are classified under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) subheadings 7407.21.1500, 7407.21.7000, and 7407.21.9000.
On September 25, 2023, the USDOC made its preliminary determination of this CVD case on India-origin brass rods.
