Australia’s Anti-Dumping Commission has extended the due date to publish a review ruling on AD measures on Chinese and French railway wheels, which fall under HS code 8607.19.00, Kallanish notes.
Previously, the commission planned to publish the Statement of Essential Facts (SEF) no later than 2 December and provide the final report and recommendation to the Minister of Industry, Science and Resources on or before 16 January 2024 (see Kallanish 17 August).
Now, the two processes are due no later than 26 March and 6 June of 2024, respectively. The delay is because the commission requests more time to “gather and analyse further information and because there have been delays completing verification of relevant data.”
Chinese and French exporters have faced duty rates of 17.4% and 37.2% respectively since 16 July 2019. From 17 July 2024, the measures would no longer apply if not extended.
