On November 3, 2023, the Turkish Ministry of Trade launched the investigation of safeguard measures on imports of alloy or non-alloy wire rods, based on the application submitted by domestic producers.
The investigation is to examine whether the increase in imports of the subject goods causes serious injury or the threat of serious damage to the Turkish domestic industry.

The investigation will be completed within nine months unless other extensions of up to a maximum of six months. The announcement is effective from the date of the publication.
