Thailand's Ministry of Commerce is preparing to submit information to the Committee of Dumping and Subsidy regarding an anti-circumvention investigation of anti-dumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on steel products. It will be the first case in Thailand if the committee accepts to open the anti-circumvention probe.
If the committee agrees to open the investigation and finds an actual circumvention of paying duties, it can prescribe an extension of the AD and CVD duties on imported goods that evade measures at a rate not exceeding the maximum rate levied on products subject to measures from exporting countries since 2015.
