Taiwan's CSC expected to increase prices for Sep

After Vietnam's Hoa Phat raised its hot rolling price by US$20/ton for the delivery date of September/October, the market expected that China Steel Corporation (CSC) will continue to increase the price in September, and the increase may not be less than US$20. Some of the pipe plants released the message to the downstream customers.

According to steel pipe factories in southern Taiwan, despite the impact of successive typhoons, the delivery progress of downstream dealers in August is considered to be a slight increase, but it is mainly due to the CSC’s September prices that will be released next week. According to the current atmosphere, the market is determined to increase prices.

The steel pipe factories have recently actively visited customers, hoping that customers can place orders as soon as possible. However, although some downstream companies believed that export orders are still poor, even if the upstream steel mills will rise prices, they are not in a hurry to replenish materials.
