The Indian Steel & Wire Products Limited (ISWP), a subsidiary of Tata Steel, announced its proposed capacity expansion in Jamshedpur to meet the growing market demand.
The plan is to extend the rebar and wire rod capacity from the current 267,000 tons per year to 475,200 tons per year by debottlenecking and optimizing the process.
Besides, the annual capacity of HC and MS GI wires will also be increased from 62,050 tons to 237,600 tons with the help of state-of-the-art machines.
In order to realize environmentally friendly operations, ISWP uses facilities such as a water recycling plant, low-noise machinery, as well as advanced pollution control equipment.
