Thailand extends Chinese, South Korean pipe duties

The Thai Committee on Anti-dumping and Subsidy decided last week to extend anti-dumping duties on certain carbon steel pipes imported from China and South Korea.

The AD duties will be imposed for another five years since 20 July 2022 based on the cif price. Chinese exporters will face duties ranging from 3.22% to 66.01%, while exporters from South Korea will face 3.49%-53.88% duties, Kallanish notes.

However, the duty on 'all other' exporters from China was reduced from 66.06% to 66.01%. In addition, the duty on South Korea's SeAH Steel was cut from 17.22% to current 3.49%. SeAH FS previously faced a 53.88% duty, and now 32.62%.

The products involved come under HS codes 7305 and 7306.
