Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce has lifted the anti-dumping duty on aluminium zinc coated steel from China's Shandong Ruifeng Composite Material, Kallanish notes. The Ministry commenced a review of the previously imposed anti-dumping duty of 29.5% at the request of the Chinese company on 25 June 2022.
The coated steel products affected come under HS codes 7210.61.11011, 7210.61.11012, 7210.61.11013, 7210.61.11021, 7210.61.11022, 7210.61.11023, 7210.61.11031, 7210.61.11032, 7210.61.11033, 7210.61.11041, 7210.61.11042, 7210.61.11043, 7210.61.11090, 7210.61.91011, 7210.61.91012, 7210.61.91013 and 7210.61.91090.
The duties were first imposed on certain hot-dip plated or coated with aluminium zinc alloys of cold rolled steel imported from China, Taiwan and South Korea in 2013 and extended for another five years from January 2019. The targeted imports from Taiwan and South Korea face duties of 5.85-24.14% and 6.31-22.55%, respectively. The antidumping duties are due to expire on 9 January 2024.
