SEAISI’s first event of the year is back! The 2023 SEAISI Conference & Exhibition will be held at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Philippines from 22 – 25 May 2023. The Conference is located at lobby level 1. This is a three-day event followed by plant tour visit on the fourth day. The conference is expected to attract 500 delegates from Philippines and around the world.
Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, the 5-star luxury resort is set in a tropical climate. Established in 1976, the elegant and modern hotel is a choice to stay for visiting VIPs, international travellers, and locals as it represents the Filipino brand. The hotel is located at the prime location next to the largest convention centre, theatres, museums, government offices and the Mall of Asia.
Visitors can attend the conference and visit few tourist attractions such as SM Mall of Asia, Manila Cathedral, Intramuros and Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) which is near the hotel.
SEAISI started in 1971 to serve as a non-governmental international organization for the iron and steel industry. SEAISI’s small scaled conference began in 1971 and later it expanded into large conferences in the 80s.
Over the years, response have been overwhelming with globally trending and interesting topics presented to the delegates. This year, the Institute continues to provide technical topics and state of the art scenario which will immensely benefit the steel industry in the long run.
The 2023 SEAISI Conference and Exhibition aims to update the steel fellowship on the current sustainable development in the ASEAN steel industry via digitalisation, technology, and innovation.
Plant Tour
The 4-day conference and exhibition ends with plant tour visits in the Philippines namely Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation and Perstima (Philippines) Inc, ARMSCOR Global defence Inc and Precision Foundry of the Philippines Inc and Keppel Batangas Shipyard. Visitors will have the opportunity to have an in-site look at the manufacturing process during the plant tour.
