Indonesia has terminated the anti-dumping duties on cold rolled stainless steel originating from China and Malaysia, Kallanish notes.
Products involved come under HS codes 7219.32.00, 7219.33.00, 7219.34.00, 7219.35.00, 7219.90.00, 7220.20.10, 7220.20.90, 7220.90.10 and 7220.90.90.
On 25 March 2021, Indonesian authorities announced an AD duty of 37% and 109.6% on Malaysian and most Chinese CRS suppliers.
For some enterprises in China however, the duty rate is 39.3%. The list includes Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel, Foshan TISCO Stainless Steel Sales, TISCO Spot Sales, Wuxi TISCO Sales and Tisco Stainless Steel (H.K.) Limited.
Over January-October this year, Indonesia imported 65,370 tonnes of the products above from China and Malaysia, up 16.8% from a year ago. The two countries occupied a market share of 54.5%, compared to 58.3% in the same period of 2021.
