According to the notification received by the WTO Committee on Safeguards on December 19, 2022 at the request of the delegation of Indonesia, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued its decision on December 2, 2022 to extend the imposition of a safeguard measure on imports of I-section and H-section of other alloy steel for another two years.
The safeguard duty rate for the period from December 22, 2022 to December 21, 2023 is 17.00%, and that for the period from December 22, 2023 to December 21, 2024 is 16.75%.
The products involved are I-section with a height of 100mm to 600mm, and H-section with a height of 100mm to 350mm, of other alloy, hot-rolled, hot-drawn, or extruded, whether or not further worked, classified under HS codes 7228.70.10 and 7228.70.90.
