South Korea releases carbon-neutrality policy

At a recent industry conference, South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) approved the strategy of technology innovation on carbon neutrality. The government will take a series of actions to promote green energy like hydrogen.

According to the strategy, South Korea will build the second-largest of carbon dioxide storage tank and increase the supply of hydrogen and other zero-emission fuel.

It was understood that the government will provide technical support for hydrogen production, storage, long-distance transportation, and supply to realize the goal of 1.94 million tons in 2030 and 29.7 million tons in 2050.

The government also planned to promote hydrogen automobiles to 4.5 million vehicles by 2030, which will make a foundation for the next generation of electrical automobiles. The part plan is clear like its east sea gas field project.
