India makes AD ruling on electrogalvanized steel from South Korea, Japan, Singapore

According to a notification released by India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry, a ruling of an anti-dumping (AD) investigation concerning imports of electrogalvanized steel from South Korea, Japan, and Singapore was made, and the duty rate was set in a range of zero to US$79.73/ton.

Among them, South Korea is subject to a duty rate of US$16.05/ton, and POSCO, Dongkuk Steel, Hyundai Steel, and DK Dongshin were assigned zero. Japan’s duty rate is US$64.08/ton, and Nippon Steel has zero duty. The duty rate set for Singapore is the highest, at US$79.73/ton.

The petitioner of this investigation is American Precoat Speciality Private Limited, which filed an application in late June 2021.

The products involved are under HS codes 7209, 7210, 7211, 7212, 7225, and 7226.
