The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has canceled the anti-dumping (AD) duty of 77% on hot-rolled flat steel originating in or exported from Ukraine, which has been imposed for more than 20 years since August 2001.
The CITT found that the continued or resumed dumping of these subject products from Ukraine was not likely to result in injury.
However, the CITT continued its AD order on flat hot-rolled carbon and alloy steel sheet and strip from Brazil and China, as well as the countervailing duties (CVD) order on the same products from India, saying that the continued or resumed dumping and subsidizing of these goods were likely to result in injury. Therefore, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will continue to impose AD and CVD on these products.
