Vietnam's steelmaker Hoa Phat has announced that the annual production capacity of its Dung Quat 2 integrated steel plant will be expanded to 14 million tons.
According to the company's statement, the project, with a total expenditure of VND 85 trillion, is the company's most important expansion project, with an annual production capacity of 5.6 million tons of hot-rolled coils (HRC).
Through this project, Hoa Phat aimed to become the largest HRC producer in Vietnam and was expected to create 8,000 jobs.
