The selected unit is an HGS16 type working at 90 degrees fixed grinding angle position, equipped with a new generation, auto lubricated bevel gear spindle, and 200 kW grinding power.
This configuration, complete with loading and unloading benches, will be able to overtake, in full skin grinding mode, a processing capacity of more than 50.000 ton per year. The supply will include also electricals and automation and secondary filtering unit. As usual feature in all Centro Maskin grinders, the Hi-Grind system digital package, providing automatic regulation of the grinding pressure, will ensure full consistency of the conditioning process, both in terms of metal removal and of surface finishing. For this application in Jiangyin Xingcheng very stringent roughness values are required. Furthermore, in order to guarantee also a full consistent quality of the corner grinding – even by applying various grinding passes – the unit will be equipped with the brand new Hi-Corner system, developed by Danieli Centro Maskin in cooperation with Danieli Automation.
The grinder will be installed to serve the rolling mill already supplied by Danieli Group in 2012 and is scheduled to enter full operation within the end of 2016.
