The US International Trade Commission is holding an adequacy review in preparation for its five-year sunset review of duties on imports of rebar from Belarus, China, Indonesia, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, and Ukraine.
The commission holds five-year sunset reviews to determine whether discontinuation of duties will lead to renewed dumping of the products in question, Kallanish notes.
Adequacy reviews are held to determine whether the sunset review ought to be expedited.
The duties were originally put in place in 2001, and they have been renewed in each subsequent review.
The duties range from 17.21% for Latvian material to 232.96% for Moldovan material.
