Iran’s steelmakers registered a significant increase in steel export volumes in the fourth month of the Iranian year ending 22 July 2018, Kallanish learns from the national steel and mining organisation Imidro. Exports also grew cumulatively over the first four months of the year.
Steel exports during the month of Tir (22 June-22 July) were 715,000 tonnes, Imidro confirms, up by 21% year-on-year. The main contributors were Khouzestan Steel with 194,712t, Hormozgan Steel with 184,867t, Mobarakeh Steel with 117,512t, Isfahan Steel Mill with 114,995 tonnes and South Kaveh Steel Company with 77,000t.
Over the first four months of the current Iranian year steel exports have also seen significant on-year growth, rising by 13% to 2,623,661t. These were again led by Khouzestan Steel with 959,008t, followed by significant contributions from Mobarakeh with 459,613t, Isfahan Steel Mill with 396,604t, Hormozgan with 373,549t and South Kaveh with 343,000t.
